Police see an ill trend
Athens-Clarke police are investigating a record number of burglaries this year, and nearly half of the thieves they're nabbing are 16 years old or younger. Most break-ins go unsolved, but some officials believe as many as 60 percent of local burglaries are committed by juveniles.

Merced County selects BI Incorporated to operate Day Reporting Center for Adults and Juveniles
BI Incorporated announces that the Merced County Probation Department has selected BI to operate an innovative Day Reporting Center (DRC) for adult and juvenile probationers and youthful offenders. The Merced County DRC will include intensive supervision, treatment and training for offenders who typically recidivate at high cost to local taxpayers. The center will open in March and be located at 3345 M Street in Merced, the county seat.
